The LABA is your PMU education destination in Virginia Beach, Virginia for a solid education in the art of hyper natural Microblading, and Nano Brows.
Our curriculum and course work is unlike any other in the area, with a large emphasis on the art of natural eyebrow enhancement, using Microblading, Nano Brow technique and using Rickina's signature Hyper Real design.
We offer an upscale student experience, that includes covering your state board exam, a $900 student kit including industry leading products and supplies, providing your academy shirt, and a graduation celebration dinner you won't find anywhere else.
Your licensed instructor Rickina Velte has been in the beauty industry for 9 years with 7 of those in the brow industry growing, perfecting and geeking out over emerging techniques and continuing her education at least 3 times a year since.
She has trained with 15 different Microblading brands since 2015, and is passionate about continuing education, and the proper education of others to learn this in demand skill.
Ms. Velte was one of the first artists in Hampton Roads offering the natural Microblading technique in 2015, and has hundreds of positive online reviews(the highest Google rated lash and brow studio in Hampton Roads, VA) and thousands of brow enhancements under her name.

Course Details
100 hours of live classroom instruction
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm
5 weeks and 2 days.
Pay in Full Rate: $6295
School Financing: 15% due upon enrolling, balance paid on or before graduation.
50 hours In Classroom Live Practical
50 hours of Self-Paced Online Textbook Study

Time: 9:00am-3:00pm
3 weeks (or 9 total days in class practical instruction)
Pay in Full Rate: $4599
School Financing: 15% due upon enrolling, balance paid on or before graduation.
Application/Enrollment Fee:
$300** applied towards balance
Students will be provided with a comprehensive student kit valued at over $900. Featuring blade needles, tattoo machine and pigment from Tina Davies & Perma Blend.
Class Size is small limited to 1-4* students.
Students are required to wear black scrub bottoms to class and the provided student class shirts every in person live day. Shirts will be provided to each enrolled student, with an enrollment fee paid.
Student graduation, for 100 hr live in class option will be a semi dressy celebration including the ceremony, dinner, cocktails & mocktails. Where students will be recognized and honored for their newest achievement.
Student graduation for 50hr Hybrid class will be a catered lunch celebration for students to recognize and honor their newest achievement.

Get Licensed first...then Certified...here's why
Virginia DPOR regulations require anyone who is looking to offer Microblading, Ombre, or Shading have a Permanent Makeup License.
Spending $2-3,000 on a certification does not allow you to legally offer Microblading or Permanent Makeup, in Virginia. Investing in your license first, then continuing your education with certifications is the smartest route if you're serious about success in this industry.
Don't be fooled by traveling brands, or local artists without the proper license in Virginia setting up in hotels, and salons.
You will not have a license after taking those classes, and will still have to invest even more to legally offer Microblading, powder brows, ombre brows, brow tattoo or permanent makeup services.
